DIVA Challenge #260 Monotangle/Shattuck
This weeks challenge from the DIVA is to do a monotangle (one tangle) of the tangle Shattuck. I have always loved Shattuck and ended up doing two tiles. The first one is on a tan tile with brown, black, and white pens. The second is on a white tile/black pen using the reticula and fragment idea (with Shattuck) from the new Zentangle Primer book by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. I love the new book, and hope to do a blog post about it soon!

Very cool
ReplyDeleteBoth are absolutely beautiful. I am waiting for the arrival of that book so look forward to your review of it.
ReplyDeleteI love the top one. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautifully done, lot's of dimension, and great shading and texture.
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Love the reticulated one and may have time to read that chapter today.
ReplyDeletelovely pieces! I love all of the variations you got in the first one.
ReplyDeleteNice work. I like the curvy variation. Adds a little variety. This challenge really shows off the versatility of Shattuck. Like the different colors also.
ReplyDeleteGreat tiles! I particularly like the first one! I'm eager to get to the Reticulata and Fragment chapter...one stroke at a time!
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful! Especially i like the second one. What a great variation of Shattuck!
ReplyDeleteLove both, but the first is my favourite because of the layering and colour. I haven't seen the new book yet, but now I might just have to get it!
