Mandala Galaxy

I really love to create Mandala's and every now and then I love to do a bigger piece of ZIA (zentangle inspired art).  I started this piece with a lot of different size circles, or orbs (as Maria would say).  I made a Mandala in each circle.  Then I used Tink to connect them all, and as a string.  I tangled inside the lines that Tink created and in some of the actual circles from Tink.  It looks kind of galaxy like to me.  What do you think?

  1. Sue, this is awesome! Tink connecting all the circles is an excellent way to subtly join them all together.

  2. Absolutely beautiful! I think the name "Galaxy" is perfect for this piece. Will there be more galaxies in your universe? I certainly hope so!

  4. Wow, this reminds me of a beautiful piece of machinery with wheels and cogs that work together.

  6. Hi Barbara, Tink is a Zentangle pattern (or tangle). You can find it by going to zentangle.com and looking at their newsletters. The one dated 8/31/2010 has the instructions to Tink. If you haven't subscribed for the free newsletters yet, make sure to do that because Rick & Maria post all of their tangle instruction in their newsletters. Welcome to the wonderful world of Zentangle!
