DIVA Challenge 277 Running 'round in Circles

This week's challenge is circles.  Make a string of circles, fill it with circles, or anything you want with circles.  Since my latest tangle obsession is random Huggins, I decided to do that and fill it with Tipple (lots and lots of little circles).  I used a tan tile and after I shaded the tile with a gray marker, I used the white charcoal pencil to add more circles around the outside.  Thanks for the fun and easy challenge this week!

DIVA Challenge #276 Moving Tangles

I am finally catching up on posting last week's DIVA's challenge!  I had it done, but didn't get around to posting it.  I feel as if I have been in "catch-up" mode with everything since returning from our month long trip to the Pacific Northwest.  (catching up on laundry, cleaning, mail, email, and the big boring list goes on).  No worries though, and I don't put unnecessary pressure on myself any longer, so I will get there when I get there.  Retired life is good that way, and I am still making time to tangle every day....need that Zen time!

Back to the challenge, which is to tangle from something moving.  (car, train, subway, bus, etc.)
On our RV travel trip we went 5120 miles, and believe it or not, I never tangled.  I thought it may make me car sick, and I didn't want to miss all the new scenery.  So I went out on my patio and tangled in my glider, while keeping it in constant motion.  I found it was very hard to put any pressure on the pen and the lines are wobbly and scratchy looking.  I wanted to try and fix it when I stopped, but I embraced the suck, and now I am sharing it.  I liked this challenge about as much as I like the non-dominant hand challenge-NOT!  LOL!

FB Square Weekly Challenge-B'Dylan

I haven't participated in the FB Square One Weekly Challenge in awhile.  The focus this week is the tangle B'Dylan, which I really love.  I added it to some crazy Huggins (my latest obsession) and threw in a Bijou.

DIVA Challenge #275 Give Peace A Chance

While the DIVA is on a much needed vacation, our guest challenger is Suzanne Fluhr, CZT.  Suzanne is a world traveler and has a great website about her and her husband's travels, all things related to baby boomers,  etc., and she has now incorporated her Zentangle  journey. I love her style of writing and her wit!  Anyway, back to the challenge.....Suzanne, like all of us, has been saddened about the hatred and violence here in the US, and the world.  It has been just gut wrenching lately, so much so, it's hard for me to turn on the national news at night.  Being of the baby boomer age, I also remember all the things that Suzanne talks about....hmmm, will we ever learn.  In the meantime, let's keep on promoting peace whenever and however we can.  Thanks for the challenge, Suzanne!

DIVA Challenge 274 My Country Tis of Thee

I am so late on this challenge due to traveling across this great country of ours. We have been on our 1st really long RV trip, and hope to be home tomorrow after 30 days on the road. I will have to do a blog post soon with the highlights of our trip.....it's been a blast!
So, for the challenge, since I am very tired, I decided to do the tangle Splinters as a firework, with Printemps around the outside. I also used a clear glitter pen to put Printemps all over Splinters, after the watercolor dried. The picture doesn't do it justice, as it's a very sparkly tile. The 4th of July fireworks are a tradition here in the USA, celebrating our independence. This is the first year I have missed them in awhile.
I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer!
