65 Roses

Every year I try to donate one or more pieces of art to a fundraiser here in town.  Billie Colson, a local artist and owner of Independence Gallery has a fundraiser every year for Cystic Fibrosis.  It started when her grandchild was diagnosed with the disease.  When kids try to say Cystic Fibrosis it comes out as "65 Roses".  So she requests artists to donate painted roses by the end of January and has a gala event with a silent auction to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  This years event is on Feb. 12th at the Rialto Theater Center from 6-9pm and cost $35.00 per ticket.  Every item that doesn't sell that night is displayed in her gallery for purchase through the month of February.  100% of sales benefits the Cystic Fibrosis foundation

For my donation, I tangled 3 different roses and mounted them on painted 5x5 canvas
