DIVA challenge #164 "Amanda (Earth) Day"
This is the 3rd Earth Day Challenge from the DIVA that I have participated in. This year I was in the mood to draw flowers, leaves, and all those beautiful things of spring. So, I let Jane Monk's e-book, One Tangle, Volume III, "Field of Flowers" be my inspiration for this tile. Jane is a fellow CZT4 from down-under (Australia), an incredible artist and quilter, and the author of 3 e-books titled, One Tangle. You can find the information on purchasing her e-books at her website here. Thanks for the inspiration, Jane! Thanks as always for the challenge, Laura!

DIVA Challenge #161 Quandary
This week's challenge from the DIVA is to do a tile with the tangle pattern Quandary. Two of the tangles that I have problems with are Quandary and Tripoli. I start off okay, but then the pattern always seems to get a little wonky and off course. For this challenge, I divided my tile into 3 sections and decided to do different sizes of seeds. Because of this, each section doesn't match up exactly but I finally got the flow of the triangles within each section. I found that it really helped me to make the first triangle and then put a dot down for where I wanted to start the 2nd one, and so on. This way I was able to keep a pretty uniform pattern going. This challenge really helped me to not be in a quandary over Quandary!

CBS Sunday Morning News Show
I am happily participating in a worldwide effort to encourage the CBS Sunday Morning News Show to do a story about Zentangle! Anyone that wanted to participate was asked to send a letter and a tile in a square envelope, and mail it on April 1st. You can read about the project on a newsletter from Rick and Maria, here and see some of the letters and tiles others have mailed in, here. Here's what went out in my mail today.
