I am always finding inspiration from one (and I have many) of my favorite zentangle artists, Margaret Bremner. I love to browse through her work on her blog, Enthusiastic Artist. I was really intrigued with a piece she did using the shape of a nautilus shell. Here is the link to that beautiful piece. You need to scroll to the bottom of the post to find it, where she also has a link to pictures of nautilus shells. While I was scanning those pictures, I couldn't help but see how this spiral shape with all of its natural divisions really lends itself to tangling. I really enjoyed making this piece and I am happy with how it turned out. Thanks, Margaret for your inspiration and for your advise on shading. I really appreciate both!
Stunning! If only I could do this!
